No. 2 Shake Shack at Sunset
So the Shake Shack wasn't on my adventure list, but we had a busy weekend (Weslie and I went down to San Diego for my sister's wedding dress shopping day!) and we still wanted to do at least something fun with the three of us.
I've been coming to the Shake Shack since I was a little girl, and long before it was a Ruby's. I used to ask my grandma if we could go after school, and she would happily oblige! It's easy to miss as you are speeding down PCH, on your way to Laguna, since it really is a small shack on the side of the road. There is barely any parking, but to tell you the truth, we've never had a problem finding a spot...eventually!
This time, we got our shakes and walked down the steps that lead to the beach - they are just to the right of the Shake Shack! Weslie was obsessed with watching all the seagulls and kept asking Cory to take her to see the plastic Santa Claus that was a decoration for the restaurant on the beach. They even have a Christmas tree set out on the sand! I've never eaten at the restaurant, so that just might have to go up on my list!
A childhood friend of mine said that heaven is in the sunset, and I couldn't agree more! I think of him every time I watch the sun go down. Weslie sat on Cory's shoulders and waved goodbye to the sun as it went down behind Catalina Island.
